View of The Lakes

22nd May, 2015 | Article By Karl Johnson

The Lake District is a must if you are visiting England. See English culture and the rural way of life at its best and most beautiful. Our ascent of Loughrigg Fell took us through the beautiful White Moss Woods with stunning views the whole way up moss side, across to Grasmere and on to Loughrigg Terrace.

Once at the top, more gorgeous views to Windermere, over to Dunmail Raise, down onto Elterwater and across to the Langdale Pikes and Tarn Hows can be seen. A short walk to one of the lower peaks brings Rydal into view. For a small Fell the scenery really is breath-taking!

Loughrigg is a perfect point to start your rambling journey, with a far-reaching view of The Lakes.

Highly recommended.
